Haley's home and I miss Keenan
Haley is home, she has been spending hours on the computer, loading her photos and videos. I have not heard from Keenan, I miss him very much. This has been a difficult few days as Haley definately does not want to go to tryouts for the 10th grade volleyball team and I think she should just go for the practice.

Kids are going and coming from Camp
Keenan left for camp this morning, I am really beginning to hate when he is not home. As Keenan grows he is becoming a grounding force in the family and I enjoy his company. Keenan will be gone for 9 days and how Craig and I will hate all the laundry that will come home. I need to get some letters written and mailed out to him today.
Haley on the other hand will be home in a few hours, she hates it when I have her fill the role of both kids. She will say to me "mom, you need to hang out with your friends". Haley will have plenty of detailed stories for days. Haley's Nick Jonas dog tag arrived yesterday so she will be a happy gal.

First time state experience
Keenan swam a 400 free relay and the 50 free.
This was an experience, we left home last night about 9pm,
to go to spend the night with Amy and the kids in Wanimingo.
We felt bad to arrive to Amy's house about 10:15pm. We got
settled in and went right to sleep, we slept soundly until about
5:15 AM. I was afraid that I would sleep in and miss the meet.
We got up and got going, Brandon was going to join us but he could
not get ready as quickly as we did so he passed.
We got a call from Keenan after dropping him off, he was swimming in a relay
and needed his suit ASAP. We got the suit and they swam their relay placing
5th! Now we would wait until he swam the 50. And we waited and waited,
the starting block on lane 4 broke interrupting the meet for a half hour. Once the
50's started they moved along quite quickly until heat 5, then the starting block on lane
3 broke!! What a disaster, fortunately we were able to be heading home Keenan swam heat 4! Keenan did not come in last in his heat 6th of 7! just touching out #7. Keenan's pace was slower than qualifying in the 50 however he had a personal best in the relay on his 100.
We are glad we went for the experience and next year we look forward to having this meet at the University of Minnesota.
Why were we in Rochester??? Minnesota has only 2 indoor 50 meter pools in the state, at the UofM and in Rochester, I was less than impressed by the Rochester pool.
